Where should I use a range booster?

A range booster should be used where a compatible doorbell, spectra, or other ActivLink receivers are out of range of the transmitter(s) (doorbell push, PIR/motion sensor, magnetic contact, etc.) or where operation is intermittent due to distance between the transmitter and receiver. The range booster can potentially double the reliable range.
