How do I remove the wires from my Lyric thermostat?

The Lyric thermostat has push in wiring terminals. To remove a wire from its wiring terminal, push down very gently on the terminal tab with a ballpoint pen or small screwdriver while pulling the wire out. You may find it easier to use a needle nose pliers to when removing the wire from its terminal.
